Our publication activities are basically divided into two main categories. The first category is publication based on the subjects we discussed in Forum Interseksi. We ask all participants to rewrite their papers and then resubmit them to our editorial staffs. The book entitled Komunalisme & Demokrasi. Negosiasi Rakyat dan Negara, which was published in 2003, is the first fruit of such an effort. We are now working hard on preparing to publish another book on the Civil Rights, which was the subject of our subsequent fourth and fifth meeting in Forum Interseksi. We name this category "seri interseksi".
The second category is publication based on researches that Interseksi has carried out. We have published three books in this category. The first one is Konflik dan Pemilu. Civic Engagement dalam Pemilu 2004. Kasus Empat Daerah Pasca Konflik di Indonesia. Sponsored by the Tifa foundation, the book is based on our previous research on Conflict Prevention during The General Election 2004 in four post-conflict areas in Indonesia. The second one is Hak Minoritas. Dilema Multikulturalisme di Indonesia (2005 and 2007/second impression). This was based on our research in five local communities in Indonesia in 2004-2005. Another one is Hak Minoritas. Multikulturalisme dan Dilema Negara Bangsa (2007), based on a research in four local communities in various parts of the country. As we continue our research program every year, it is hoped that there will be more book publications in this category in the pipe line.
Since 2007/2008 we have also started a new documentary video project on minority rights in various local communities in Indonesia. The first video that we have produced is a documentary video based on our audio-visual research in ToWana community in Morowali, Central Sulawesi. It was released on 10 April 2008 and entitled To Mompalivu Bure (Kisah Orang-orang Pencari Garam).
In addition, our core members have also written some essays on various topics from politics to culture to philosohpy.
