Hari Rabu, 11 Oktober 2006 Yayasan Interseksi akan mengadakan diskusi bulanan terbatas dengan tema Islam dan Filantropi. Untuk mendiskusi relevansi dan problematik tradisi filantropi dalam masyarakat muslim, kami mengundang Chaedar Bamualim, MA, direktur Center for the Studies of Relegion and Culture (CSRS), Universitas Islam Negeri, Jakarta, sekaligus anggota Dewan Penasihat Yayasan Interseksi, sebagai pembicara. Selama beberapa tahun ini, bersama tim peneliti the CSRS Chaedar telah dan sedang mengadakan penelitian tentang Filantropi Islam di Indonesia. Rincian pelaksanaan acaranya adalah sebagai berikut:

On Wednesday, October 11th, 2006, the Interseksi Foundation is having a limited discussion on the topic of Islam and Philanthropy. To discuss philanthropy tradition in Islamic societies and its relevance in our contemporary Indonesia, we invite Chaedar Bamualim, MA, director of the Jakarta-based Center for the Studies of Relegion and Culture (CSRS) of the Jakarta State Islamic University, who himself has been a member of Interseksi Foundation's Advisory Board, as the speaker. Together with his research team in the CSRS Mr. Bamualim has been researching Islamic Philanthropy in Indonesia for years. Details of the discussion are as follow:
