In August to October 2006 we dispatched our research team to conduct field researches on minority rights issues in four local communities in Indonesia: Ahmad Uzair to Permalim community in Medan, North Sumatra; Paring Waluyo to Tengger community in East Java; Amin Mudzakir to Ahmadiyah Islamic community in Cianjur, West Java, and; Heru Prasetya to Tolotang community in South Sulawesi. After the field research is through, they took two months to write the rough draft of report based on their findings in the respective areas or communities.

On Monday to Wednesday (Desember 4th-6th, 2006), we are organizing a-three day meeting amongs our field researchers, team of supervisors, and some other resource persons in our first workshop on Report Writing. In the workshop the researchers will exchange their findings to each other, and will collaboratively define the main ideas to be more cultivated to compose a collective report representing Interseksi's research team. The main objective of the workshop is to enhance the quality of the report based on which we will start to prepare the book writing processes in our subsequent workshop later on. Convened at Gunung Geulis House, Bogor, West Java, the workshop is structured into two main activities: researchers' presentations, and discussion on book publication.
